[01.03.25] the structure for the subpages is set. each subpage, and their subpages will be one box. this just makes my job easier down the road so i dont have to update any side boxes outside of the index, and turns the layout into an easy template for new pages going forward.

[WHOIAM]: Hello friend. I go by 73laze, and this is my own homegrown section of the internet, created AI free. It was made upon several iterations, with each one teaching me fundamental concepts of the HTML/CSS language. I knew pretty much no code before I made this, and often still feel like I dont, but what the fuck ever ya know. Hopefully, the iteration you happen to spring upon is the one that stays! lol.I am a smear of different things - life long gamer, book worm, linux user (arch btw), and occasionally a haiku poet, writer and photographer.

[WHATTOEXPECT]: The main point of the website is to act as an alternative to me to house feelings, thoughts, (only the ones i am most comfortable with sharing, the rest are for my journals only!) pictures, and an archive / log on things Ive read, watched, or played.

[WHY]: Platforms like facebook, twitter, instagram, and youtube have lost all sincerity. This is an adoption of the philosophy that owning your power as a user on the internet is more important now, more than ever. Just by learning some simple HTML and CSS, I now have a website that will be home to anything I want to share to the internet, and I am in complete control over it. It may not be as flashy or feature rich, but its exactly what I want.

Not sure why but through the years ive always found it aesthetically pleasing to find different ways to shape letters with numbers. Like "72" kind of looks like R. Or L7 looks like a brutalist D or something. I found it unlocks username capabilities with names that are usually taken. For instance, Blaze was the first ever tag I gave myself at the age of 6, playing Halo 1 on the xbox. Ive never been able to use that tag though, because its always taken. So it has some sentimental value to me.

I wasnt skilled enough to go back to default, so upon doing a fresh cachyOS install I learned that they just deprecated their hyprland support. I am now rocking linux mint on my thinkpad and I gotta say - its fuckin smooth. apt is nowhere near as fast as pacman, and im gonna miss the AUR, but I do love having a stable distro that I know I wont have to spend hours configuring with. Ill be back on arch one day. I just dont have the time or the skill set to make tinkering a sustainable hobby right now - atleast on that level.
